R: New Music

Spotify is seriously the best app, I have found so much music that I LOVE!  Some of my new music I haven't found on Spotify, but it allows me to listen to my new music without having to go to Youtube.

Here are a few of my new music finds!

SHEL.  This band Abbie found from one of our favorite bands, The Vespers. Their music is so unique and beautiful.
Some of my favorite song of theirs are:
Wise Old Owl
The Latest Greatest Blueberry Rubberband
Like Minded Fool
SHEL

The Oh Hello's.  I found this band on Spotify when it was recommended because I listened to so much of The Vespers.  This band has some of the best gang vocals ever!
Here are some of my favorite songs:
The Valley (reprise)

The Oh Hellos

Ellie Holcomb.  We actually found her last year, but she has a new album, so it is new music. She has the most amazing and unique voice.
Some of my favorites from her new album:

Ellie Holcomb

The Paper Kites.  Jackson told me about one of their songs and I listened to it and fell in love with the guy's voice.
Favorite songs of theirs:
Featherstone
Malleable Beings

The Paper Kites

From Indian Lakes.  Another band that Jack told me about. The singer has such a smooth voice.
Favorites:
The Bells
I Don't Know You
We Are Sick
From Indian Lakes

Least of These.  Such an amazing band!  There isn't much to say, they're just so good.

R: Trinity

My best friend, Trinity, had a birthday on the 9th, but her birthday party is on Thursday.  She is literally one of the sweetest people I have ever met!  I can talk to her about anything, she is so understanding about everything.  She has the best smile and laugh of anyone I've ever met!  We met when we were in Narnia, which was only like 7 or 8 months ago.  We just started talking and got be good friends.  We were in a dance together, and we were in a lot of scenes together, which made some time to talk in between scenes.  We were also in The Wonderland Wizard of Oz together, a production put together in one day.  About a week or so before The Wonderland Wizard of Oz, Trin and her family took me along with them on their family vacation to New Mexico to ski and snowboard.  We have so much fun together!

R: Update

Last September we welcomed into the world our 10th little sibling!  His name is SJ (Shane Jr. after my dad), and he is 8 months.  He just grew his first tooth, he is crawling, and he loves to laugh!  Also last Halloween Ammie (Annemarie) turned 2!  She loves being a big sis, and she smothers him with her love. :)  Tate, Jojo, and I all had birthdays in January, Mom and Dad had birthdays in March, and Emma will be 18 in May!

Annemarie.
SJ.

I am excited to say that I've started a photography blog called Hardwood Photography !

In November we were in a live production of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe with Phoenix Repertory Players.  Abbie was Mrs. Beaver, Jack was Peter, Lib was the Unicorn/a visitor, I was the Beech Dryad, Ethan was a Dwarf/a statue, and Tate was a visitor.
The show was so much!  We made many new relationships, one of whom is my closest friend.

The White Stag.
The White Witch and Edmund.
The whole cast, plus our director, our choreographer, and our assistant director.

Recently, Jackson and Abbie have gotten more serious about both of their music.  Abbie EP came out early last year, and Jackson's EP will be coming out later this year.  They've play at Roots Coffeehouse in North Richland Hills, Opening Bell Coffee in Dallas, MusicFest in Waxahachie, Classic Cup Café in Lancaster, Lighthouse Coffee in Midlothian, and Overflow Student Ministries in Mesquite.

Ab and Jack both started a band called Little Image, their music is amazing by themselves, but INCREDIBLE when it's all of them together with some drums, keys, and a bass.

Well that's about all....
Bye! :)

R: Phoenix Repertory Players

Jackson and Gillian Perry
Last Spring some of our family got to go see the play of Alice in Wonderland.  The group who did the play was Phoenix Repertory Players. https://sites.google.com/site/phoenixrepertoryplayers/ A group of homeschoolers who put on plays in Waxahachie.  This Spring everyone in our family auditioned to be in there next plays, Sense and Sensibility and Back-to-Back Fairytales.  Sense and Sensibility is for 13+,  Back-to-Back Fairytales is for 12 and under.  Back-to-Back Fairytales is two fairytales in one play, it's Princess and the Pea and The Shoemaker and the Elves.  Tate and I are customers in The Shoemaker play, and Ethan and Jojo are the elves in it.  I'm also a princess who wants to marry the prince in Princess and the Pea.  In Sense and Sensibility Libby is Mrs. Palmer, Emma is Mrs. Jennings, Abbie is Fanny Dashwood, and Jackson is Willoughby.  We have all been working so hard for the performances this month.  For Back-to-Back Fairytales we also did a preview show, we only did Princess and the Pea, it was at The Oaks Church in Red Oak, TX.  It has been so fun being in my first real play.
